The Roemans (w/Berry Oakley) on Dick Clark, 1966

What can't you find on Youtube? Here is a very young Berry Oakley with the Roemans playing some serious flower power pop.

Haha, very cool. I'll admit that BO playing bass with a ladle is quite unique....Interesting too that Berry is playing bass this far back....

Freakin' amazing. Thanks for that.

The things I've seen, heard and read from posters on this site are a trip.
Very cool. Thanks pcb

Thanks for finding this! That stuff looks like it was filmed in the 1890s! But kinda reminds me of Spinal Tap doing "Listen to the Flower People".

Fine, it's Berry Oakley. It's also HORRIBLE. Made it through 2:30 and had to run...........

Filmed from atop Red Mountain - my former hometown of Birmingham down the hill!
My cousin and her husband are close friends with Tommy Roe. Seems like bubblegum music ... but how many artists can you think of that had the Beatles open up for them?

For trivia completists another of the Roemans, Bertie Higgins, later had a big one hit wonder called “Key Largo”.
But yeah, sort of bubblegum. “Sweet Pea”, “Dizzy”, and heavy Buddy Holly influenced “Sheila”.

That is cool to see Berry, but the music is god awful
