The Other One~~~The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir
Now Playing on Netflix............Excellent, Really enjoyed it

i saw it yesterday. there wasn't alot if any new information. lots of music though. after awhile it felt like they added all the music as filler because there wasn't much to say. the video of Jerry petting a moray eel was cool.

I'm no where close to a Dead aficionado , but I found this to be filled with a lot of fluff and was quite disappointed in it as a whole . Of course the trailer for it was more entertaining than the actual movie .

At my age having listened this band, and ABB for that matter, for so long there really isn't much "new".
For these kind of docs I thought it was pretty good. Nice to see Weir get a bit of recognition for his contribution to the GD.
I really liked the shots of San Francisco and Marin County. I visited for the first time a few years ago and if I had gone there while younger I would be living there now.

We've been watching it and enjoying it. Never read much by or about the Dead though or watched any docs about them even though I've always liked them. I like the parts about the Merry Pranksters & early days & formation of the band. His take on the band & he & Jerry being on the same wavelength while playing was cool too. Its touching to see him with his family & daughters going back to his old neighborhoods too. It gives more insight into him & where he's coming from. I'm looking forward to watching him perform this year even more now.
