The Most Unusual Musical Combinations-Caught on Film

I was watching an awesome performance by Jethro Tull on the Rock 'n Roll Circus Stones DVD. I'm watching & I see the original drummer, original bassist,Anderson and the guitarist. I had to do a double take on the guitarist who's not original...but nonother than Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath. Apparently he ended up there with Tull for the Circus

This?

yep,he's in the white hat.I kept trying to figure out when Martin Barre started with Tull. They all look pretty dorky back then (especially the drummer. Well I guess everyones got to start somewhere. I think the story was Iommi got a call at the last minute to fill-in there.
I wonder how many other unusual combinations like this there are floating on video out there.

Tony was in Jethro Tull for a short period but says he quit because of all Ian Anderson's strict rules.

Like...having to be @ practice @ 9am! 😮

Townshend with Grateful Dead was pretty unusual if you ask me:
I thought there was even a more bizarre clip out there somewhere, where Pete even looked more lost, bopping around non-stop, not sure where he was supposed to come in on the song.

I thought the thread was going to be about this odd pairing:
Seems way more unusual than the others...

I though for sure you were going to post Cher and Gregg.

I love it! 😛

This was probably taken with a old "film" camera:

hahaha ha...thats a pretty unusual combo. We ran into him at the front entrance to Universal Studios once. It was really wierd, like he's standing there in his 6'4" frame & frilled jacket, blocking us..& looking at us like we wanted his autograph or something. While we could really care less who he was & basically walked around him to get him out of the way & leave. haha
