Watching Galadrille I just sobbed.

wow. Watching her pick up the roses off the stage was a heavy moment. Kind of reminded me of the end of the grateful dead movie with all roses on stage.

I did not buddy. Too many fakes running around but I have to say I had a ball chatting it up with diffirent people outside including a few from this site I have not seen in awhile who tried to do the same thing I did. If I couldnt be in there it was the next best thing. And to see u out of the blue was classic. Great to see u again brother and hope we all get together again down the road.

Thanks. I thought the finale last night (this morning!) was perfectly scripted and tasteful. Most of the band's goodbye was handled w/ instruments which was appropriate.

Earlier, during YDLM, when Gregg sang "if I never see your smiling face no more," he made a very deliberate turn of his head and looked at the band. A very cool gesture on his part.

Well, I'm the fool for not getting a ticket to this show. $1,000 would've been well worth it. I'll never forgive myself for not going. Oh well, life goes on! I have tons of live boots, but this last show is all I'll ever need.

jszfunk,

That was the 2nd encore. They had already come out to center stage, hugged, said a few words, and taken a bow together after the first encore.

Did you watch the full one? I posted the original one and then DFC and another person posted the full 12 minutes with the speech below my original post.

Absolutely. Start off with DA's last song-end it with the bands first song-short on comments-let the instruments do all the talking for the guys on stage. Grin

the music said it all, as with any ABB show i ever saw the most said was "were gonna take a short break …." and "good night" except for Warren introducing the guests. i am sure it was harder on the band to face the end on tuesday than us fans.

i listen to TTB band and Derek will need to find somewhere within that band to take his skills or find another band, he and Warren and the ABB and their music had something special that drove Derek to another level. I am going to miss that level and hope somewhere he can find musicians and music to get there again.

Even playing with Clapton and Doyle he did not come close to what he accomplished with Warren They were just amazing together!!!
