X2! Whatever opinions and feelings exist about Dickey - he and his gift are a cornerstone to this band. Remember the Allman Brother's Band! Remember Dickey Betts! Remember them together, apart or in any fashion you choose! Remember them - celebrate them!

Viva Les B'rers!

Grin Yes , a big heartfelt Thanks to DB..for all his contributions , compositions, his melody , his tone ... the songs and music that played while my life was happening... a great sound to hear. Also for being a founding member in my all time favorite band The Allman Brothers Band....

Easily the hardest working guitar player I ever saw, except for Garcia. The merciless organ-grinder of the 5 hour shows. Thank you Mr. Betts.

The only things which would have, by the sound of things, improved last night's set list for me would have been a Nobody Knows, BWIAB, Seven Turns....

He co-created a legendary evolution in guitar playing. They did what had never been done before, and it will continue to be emulated, admired by musicians for a long time.

Thank you both for the dream and the perseverance that has given us 45 years so far, and will carry us on the road to eternity. You know he's up there and he's still playin'.

I always thought that Duane and Dickey together had a creative competition going that rose them beyond what could have happened just by themselves.

The band misses dickey's sweet melody and tone. Dickey could really play rhythm guitar of a lead the best i ever saw.
Plus his writing of songs and instrumentals is legendary. Imagine the ABB without Dickeys music. Just would not be the same.
Thanks to Dickey and all the rest of the players over the years
Ed
