I am seriously digging this music. The production of the album is gorgeous. It reminds me of Curtis Mayfield's last outing, "New World Order." There are brassy horns and harmonic back ground vocals augmenting Taj's soulful, grandfatherly voice, as he sings out messages of hope, happiness and joy.
Do yourself a favor and wrap your ears around this offering.
I'm going to see them in August at the historic U Street Lincoln Theatre in DC come August. I am as excited about this show as I am any of my Summer shows.
