Southern Blood Missing Tracks
According to an article I read Gregg had planned two further tracks for Southern Blood. One was to be a Bob Seger track and another. Don Was and Gregg's musical director have stated they will not say what the tracks were. Does anyone have any thoughts of what they may have been?
Interesting about the Bob Seger track. I have thought for years Greg should cover one of his tunes, just seem to fit. Still The Same would be good, Main Street, Turn the Page. It would be cool maybe to here something more up-tempo with some bounce like Ramblin' Gamblin Man. Nutbush would be fun, but technically not a Seger song.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,
According to this article their were 2 tracks Gregg was unable to complete...Freddie King's Pack it Up and Leon Russell's Hummingbird.
Damn I would have love to hear him sing Hummingbird, love that song.

Going with the tone of the album, the Seger song that pops in my head would be "Famous Final Scene".
I know Scott Sharrard said that there was another original composition that wasn't quite finished.
Sort of related - I think the Doobies should release one of the versions of Gregg singing Taking it to the Street with them a couple years ago. Between the arena cameras and their own soundboard, I'm sure there is a crisp sounding copy & video. He nailed it.
Maybe the could release it on the anniversary of his passing or his birthday this year.
Holy Shat....that blew me away. You're right, Gregg nailed it. It's one of those songs that perfectly fits Gregg's voice
Thanks for sharing that.
Thanks for sharing that, I had never seen that before.
