Posted by: @robertdeeI clearly remember Statesboro Blues in September of 1975 with no slide. It stuck out as odd. Maybe Never The Less had slide and I forgot.
Not saying you're wrong about the '75 shows you saw, but the '75 shows I've heard features Dickey still playing slide where the '76 shows I've heard he doesn't.

@porkchopbob Been on the phone. Oh I know Dickey played slide in 1975 now. I listened to the 1975 Jimmy Carter for President benefit show the other night on YouTube and he plays slide on that. I'm not wrong about Statesboro Blues in September of 75. No slide at that show but I'm not a 100 % certain about other songs perhaps in the second set. Also noticed immediately the pretty Les Paul with zebra pickups was gone. And after the first set since it didn't appear ( never saw it again) I got over to the sound man to ask and was told Dickey couldn't keep it in tune. Well he played it late 1972, 73, 74 so it may have just been he liked that 1957 Goldtop much better.
Here is Goldie with a round sticker near the bridge. Muhammad Ali?
Looks like Danny Toler has Dickey's 56 Strat too.

@porkchopbob Oh well!! Im going to listen to this today. Since Wipe The Windows came out in 1976 I always wondered if the rest of that show sounded as good as Ain't Waisting Time No More.
Thank you so much for tracking it down. Just a month after Berry died. Apparently Lamar fit in rather quickly. Jaimoe highly recommended him and Butch said after just a few songs Butch said "Let's rehearse" and Dickey and Gregg didn't say anything so just like that they had Berry was replaced.
Butch and Gregg didn't want Duane replaced. They added Chuck to have another person to solo without actually replacing Duane. I guess they could view it like that because it wasn't a guitar player.
I'm excited. Thank you again man!!!!!!!

@robertdee I'm not a young man either, lol. PM is short for private message. Apparently it's more complicated to find them than it used to be. I just sent you one by clicking on the little envelope below your name. No idea how or if you will be notified. I think you have to go to your profile page, which I think is the page you are taken to when you login. You should be able to send me one doing the same thing. If you get that far, send me your address and I will mail you a copy of the show on 2 discs.
Perhaps some of these younger folks, or older but smarter folks can help us out here. I bet Porkchopbob knows how to send & receive them. Maybe he will help us.

@porkchopbob Thanks, That's what I thought but when I hover the cursor over "Members" I don't get the drop down menu. If I click on it I do get to where the messages are (I think) but it's a little confusing. I think I sent one to Robert but there is no indication there that I did.
EDIT
AHAHH, it's the browser i was using. MS Edge doesn't show the dropdown menu but Google Chrome works just fine.

That is incredible stuff! Gregg rocks the B3 on DKMW and Hot Lanta is a treasure with Chuck and Dickey blending together nicely. Why they didn’t play this more often I’ll never know.

Posted by: @robertdee@kcjimmy Thank you. I love finding out new information.
I've recently found several Win, Loose or Draw shows with Dickey playing slide. I saw an early September 1975 show at the beginning of the Win, Loose or Draw tour and Dickey didn't play slide. It was so unusual to see the Allman Brothers play Statesboro Blues and no slide guitar. I saw several 1975 shows and one 1976 and as I remember ( maybe I'm wrong. So many years) but no slide at any of them.
These Allman Brothers tours can do something different at any time I guess.
Here is Ain't Waisting Time No More from that show. It's a great version and hot slide from Dickey!!!
This is Dickey’s finest hour on slide. Outstanding

@porkchopbob I just finished listening to the show thanks to your link Porkchopbob. Thank you for the link. Enjoyed the show. Elvin Bishop's guitar was on more than I was expecting and perhaps a little low in the mix but I enjoyed the entire show. I've always been impressed with the Chuck/Lamar lineup, such a different sounding lineup with one lead guitar but it has its strengths. Too bad the some of the band and especially Gregg just lost interest and surprisingly Gregg seemed to be aggravated a little with the success of Brothers and Sisters and the band for awhile being the number one American band live draw coast to coast.
This lineup while not my favorite ( original band is) this lineup could really sound good, different and interesting.
Thanks again for the link.

@kcjimmy Thank you for sharing with me and the offer. But I got linked up to the show via Porkchopbob's link and have it on my smart phone now.
That was some show to have seen and remember. That Chuck/Lamar lineup was special and unique and though it came off the rails and Gregg lost interest and I guess Dickey did a bit too and only lasted from late 1972 to spring 1976....it was the most successful lineup commercially with live attendance and album sales. Brothers and Sisters sold over five million copies.
