Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

For the Allman Brothers Band Statesboro Blues, Hot 'Lanta and One Way Out would qualify I think.
The ABB recorded a version of Statesboro Blues in the studio for Idlewild South but didn't use it.
In the late 60's every guitarists playing in clubs where I was played this live version! This put Clapton on the map if he wasn't already!

Every Peter Frampton song I know, LOL.
Conquistador - Procol Harum
Trouble No More - ABB EAP vs The 1st Album
I knew there were a lot more but my brain went silent so I checked the link and of course had to say, "Oh yeah!" a whole bunch of times. One they list that I don't agree with though is the acoustic version of Layla. Certainly the electricstudioDuane version is better known than that one? Maybe I'm wrong. Damn kids and their MTV.

There are many, Soul Sacrifice an obvious one (didn’t look at the list) - Poco’s Atlanta Pop version of Grand Junction is better known than & makes obsolete the studio one, it’s a burndown, killer stuff🎶🤙
the live Long Red by Mountain too….better-known than the one on Leslie West’s Mountain for a reason……good topic
