Just unbelievable that Phil is 84 years and still pounding that bass. Makes me really wonder what's going on with Dead and Company. Phil never joined and Kreutzman just cited creative differences. Is it the slow tempo of Dead and Company? Because Phil can still bring the heat.

Blue Sky w/ Duane on vocals, playing Duane Allman's original goldtop, possibly.

Phil w/ Duane covers Jessica, Liz Reed and Blue Sky all in one set on Sunday night. A little clunky at times but hey I'm spoiled.

Completely agree with OP that it's just simply stunning Phil plays like he does for that long at that level.

2nd place for me would be Bill Walton simply being able to stand and play congas for 60 min with the band he was with 🤣

Add Oteil's headlining set Thursday night w/ Duane another Blue Sky ( better than Phil's imo ) and a Southbound.

Pretty good Allmans showing for a Dead festival

Had to stay up late to watch Oteil and friends but it was well worth it. Lamar Williams Jr. was a great fit. My other favorites were Sages and Spirits. Lots of great daytime sets too.

That is a Dickey Betts Signature Goldtop... Duane has been playing the hell out of it!
