Thinking about flying out to Mountain View to see the Bridge benefit Concerts. Has anyone here ever been there? Curious what the lawn seats are like. This will be a tough ticket so I may have to settle for the lawn.

I like Shoreline, been going there since it opened in 1986, so 30 years. But I'm not real fond of the lawn. That's not to say I won't sit there, in fact I'm going there tonight for Heart/Joan Jett/Cheap Trick and I'm on the lawn but I got free tickets from a local radio station. It's a different experience for sure because Shoreline seats 25,000 and 15,000 of those are lawn seats. You are a LONG, long ways back from the stage on the lawn. They do have video screens and speakers out there, though. Of course, lawn seats are much more affordable. But there is nothing like a good reserved seat at Shoreline.

Just to update on last night: I had forgotten but there's only one video screen on the lawn and it's right in the center, so if you sit on the lawn for Bridge, get there early and get near the center, otherwise you're not going to see much. The sound out there was actually QUITE good, they had a LOT of speakers. So audio-wise anyway, you'll be able to hear the show just fine.

I had never seen Heart, Joan Jett or Cheap Trick and I enjoyed all three, but especially Heart and Joan Jett. They both ROCK HARD!!
