Not sure if anyone's heard, but a show called San Francisco Fest is taking place there at AT&T Park on Sept. 4. It will feature Journey, Santana, Steve Miller Band, and The Doobie Brothers. That's definitely a great bill to me!! I'm in Texas, so I don't think I'll make it to that one, but I figured I'd mention it to others who might be interested.
I saw that on Facebook two days ago and I live close by.
I could do without Steve Miller and Journey but would love to hear the new Santana (the old Santana?) and The Doobies are consistently good. Doubt I'll go though..........I'm sure tickets will be an arm and a leg, and I'm not really into stadium shows anymore. Certainly could not be at a more beautiful venue though...........right on the Bay. AT&T is like the 7th Wonder of The World. I've already got tickets for two Giants games.
This is the kind of show that needs to be recorded & released on DVD, or maybe a live stream online. Maybe it will happen.
