Royal Southern Brotherhood: Songs From The Road

I just picked up Royal Southern Brotherhood's CD/DVD combo, "Songs From The Road" three weeks ago. I had to order it, sadly neither of my local record stores had it and I didn't want to pay Amazon's shipping.
Ladies and Gentlemen: This is really, REALLY good sh*t. Elements of Funk, Soul and Cajun meld together in a set that just NEVER gets boring. These guys are the real deal.
Does anyone know if guitarist/vocalist Mike Zito is still with the band? I thought I remembered reading that he had left and was replaced. They are coming to Santa Cruz' Moe's Alley on 1/31 and of course I'm going. I saw them a year ago and they just about blew the roof off of Moe's. An all-star band for sure. Other members are:
Devon Allman: Guitar, vocals
Yonrico Scott: Drums
Cyril Neville: Percussion, vocals
Charlie Whooten: Bass

I just looked at www.royalsouthernbrotherhood.com. Mike Zito has in fact been replaced by Bart Walker.

Haven't heard the album, but I was already looking forward to seeing them at the end of January in Tahoe just because of the lineup.

I'm a big fan of RSB, and from the available video it looks like Bart Walker is a worthy replacement for Zito, although those are huge shoes to fill. From the first moment I saw the Fire On The Mountain video I was hooked on RSB like a crack whore!

Saw them early in september. Was the last leg of the tour with Mike Zito still in the band.. Great show. Never seen Bart Walker as a solo artist but heard good things about him too.

I would have to agree, Fire On The Mountain from the Songs From The Road DVD (and CD) is probably the highlight, although the ENTIRE thing is good! Devon Allman and Mike Zito had some amazing chemistry.

Ive seen RSB a couple of times now... tremendous stuff. Here's a photo i took of Devon channeling his Uncle Duane 🙂

I've seen both RSB and Bart Walker solo - and have posted on here a little bit how "wowed" I was at Bart. I stopped in local club to see him, knowing nothing about him other than he was a "blues guitarist" from Tennessee. I know he is a huge fan of Warren, and has played with and seems friends w Jack Pearson and Mike Ferris in Nashville. He's got a couple CD's on Itunes and the like.
The big question, of course, will be his relationship/chemistry w Devon and the rest of the guys.

Great DA/Honeytribe cover

Kid's great!

Never knew RSB released a 2nd studio CD (with Mike Zito):

& that Mike Zito also has a CD / DVD called Songs From The Road (with similar album art):

Confusing....

The Songs From The Road are a series of live shows from the German RUF Records label. All have similar or same artwork.

Manitou love the photo.
Y'all check out a little "Ragged & Dirty", if you haven't already.

There are several CD's with the same title and similar cover, theyre all acts including Mike Zito and RSB on RUF records over here in Europe.
