Oh yeah. I'm a Rory fan. Enjoyed all those tracks jszfunk.
I have several of Rory's albums and usually play them when Im in the mood for some deep mind tripping music. His guitar solos are Berry trippy and he has a great touch and lots of licks and can speed the fretboard when he wants.
He wore out that Fender Stratocaster but it was one of the best Strat tones. And Joe Bonamassa played it at a few shows and it still sounds good.
It was shocking that he ruined his liver and died in 1995 at what? 47? I think he was in London waiting on a liver transplant.
Supposedly Hendrix once was asked what does it feel like to be the world's greatest electric guitarist? And Hendrix supposedly told the reporter...I don't know. Go ask Rory Gallagher.
