Just heard Rod Stewart’s take on First Cut is the Deepest. Really liked the guitar. Anyone know who that was? I can’t find it. I did find it was recorded at Muscle Shoals in 1976. So I guess that narrows it down, perhaps.

"Night On the Town" was recorded at a couple of studios, including Muscle Shoals Sound. The album lists as guitarists (among others - and from memory!) Steve Cropper, Joe Walsh, David Lindley, Jesse Ed Davis, Fred Tacket and Pete Carr. "First Cut" was recorded at Muscle Shoals - so I'm guessing that Pete Carr might've been the guitarist. "Guessing", I said. 😉
