Longtime percussionist for Aquarium Rescue Unit and Derek Trucks Band passed away Sunday, July 25th.  We've lost a lot of folks close to or apart of the family the past few years.  RIP the Count:

If not mistaken he opened for the Dead at Highgate 1994 - enjoyed his set & all his work - sad to hear this - RIP

@lee Saw in once in High Point, NC with the Derek Trucks Band. Didn't recognize the name but did the face and remember his very good musianship. 

RIP

Yes, Sad to hear this. Count M'butu added some much to the Dereck Trucks band. RIP my son your time on this earth is Done . You did well. Rest Easy!

Just so hard for me to fathom that no less than three members of The Derek Trucks Band have already departed this earth.  RIP Count!

Saw the Count play with the DTB many times. He was a gentleman to speak to and a great percussionist. Another sad lose!
