RIP Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake)

Guitarist Bernie Marsden of Whitesnake fame has passed away.
I was not a huge fan of the Snake but always admired Marsden's playing.
RIP Bernie
He recently put his collection of vintage guitars up for sale but decided to keep his 1959 LesPaul that was previously owned by Eric Clapton and Paul Kossoff

Pretty sure I saw Bernie sit in with the Allmans one year at the Beacon.
Can someone confirm that?

Bernie used to sit in with Gov't Mule on most occasions when they played gigs over here in London UK ... as per above, I was not a great fan of Whitesnake but appreciated his playing ... RIP Bernie

I didn't know about Whitesnake until the broke through in the US with Slide it In. I then went back and got the double album, Live in the Heart of the City, which along with Slide is one of my 2 favorite Snake albums....plus a few others which had good songs even if they weren't great albums end to end (which is why the live album works so well....it sounds better than the studio records and serves as a bit of a greatest hits record).
I'm glad he was able to benefit financially when Whitesnake hit it big as hair metal/hard rock band re-recording some of his songs. RIP to a talented player.
