Hate to hear of anyone having this struggle. Especially hate to hear this aboiut Dan. I'll be joining you in those prayers, Rusty, and am sending healing thoughts eastward towards Dan, comforting thoughts for Dan and his family and all who love him. He's one of the finest of the folks here on this site ... kind and thoughtful and interested and interesting (I love reading his posts ...have picked up some good reading material based on some of them, some great factoids based on others of them and had more than a few chuckles and smiles along the way).
I'm going to close my eyes, listen to some Townes Van Zant, and picture Dan smiling and well (oh - now I'm seeing him at Wanee 2015 with his son and the Hilton crew

Dan and I first bonded over our mutual admiration for Rory Gallagher and Richard Thompson, but before I met Dan, Townes Van Zant and Guy Clark were just names to me.
Now they are so much more than that to me because Dan took the time to introduce me to their music.
Just want you to know that you continue to be in my prayers and thoughts brother...
Dan sent me some TVZ boots that will blow your mind. Like 3 hours worh of shows from Europe and New Zealand and I am forever grateful. Even a DVDs from Townes playing on Ralph emory's show in the 80's

Saturday night thoughts for brother Dan.
Rocked out this Saturday afternoon before Christmas. All the kids are back from school celebrating Xmas vacation. Good times all around. Thought about TD as I was cranking my Strat and spinning Marvin Gaye's What's Going On.
