I love this, and very deserving for one of my very favorite songwriters. And as the article says, the Betts family has roots going back to "1870, right after The Civil War. We homesteaded land in Myakka."
Who hasn't heard the lines, "I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus/Rollin' down Highway 41"? You'd either have to be deaf or living in a cave somewhere. Ramblin' Man still gets massive airplay, and will for many years to come.

I'm thinkin' about buying an old Greyhound Bus and starting up a Ramblin Man Lamaze Class, operating exclusively on that stretch of '41 ... so that a whole new generation might know what it's like to be born in the back of one.
