I just heard a local Jazz musician, Ken Watters, say on the radio that Dickey Betts played piano on the original Jessica. I always heard it was Chuck. Guess I need to get the CD out and look.
Watter's band covered Jessica in a Jazz version, which was not that cool.

He is 100% wrong. It is the one and only Chuck Leavell on piano on Jessica. In fact, I don't know how Chuck didn't get a co-write on the song. His solo is more than just a solo.
