Hi all!

I know this will probably be met with lukewarm interest, but I have four tix to Phish at MSG tomorrow night that I cannot use. Section 118, Row 18, Seats 11-14. Really nice sight-lines. Good seats. Face is about $90 with fees. We paid $130. I'd be happy with something in between. If anyone is interested, PM me please.

Brendan

On that recent podcast interview with Derek, Phish came up - it may be an old story but one night when it was him and Jimmy Herring in the band, at the urging of Red Dog, they really pushed Mountain Jam "out there" (as Derek told it.)

Later on the bus, Gregg walks in and stares at the two of them and says, "alright who is the phucking Phish fan ?" Then stormed off to the back of the bus, comes out a little later and apologizes and says he and his brother used to argue about that all the time and for them two to do whatever they wanted.

Derek told the story, sort of indicating that he thinks Gregg still thinks about Duane all the time and possibly in some sort of cosmic way, is still in contact....of course I am totally paraphrasing what Derek said.

I just listened to that podcast and heard Derek tell that story again. Except for this time, Derek said he responded to Gregg's question like, "I'm definitely not!"

Makes me wonder how the band tolerated having Trey and Page guest as often as they did.

Warren's idea, perhaps? Or Oteil?

A great interview by the way !

Funny little story about Joe Bonamassa when they were both "kids" and Derek's Dad, ha, ha.

I'm sure Derek sees them as excellent musicians who are in a band that doesnt have excellent songs or singing.

Ditto Widespread Panic. I think the ABB enjoyed any time that Jimmy Herring would guest, but probably didnt listen to too much WSP.
