Very good musician. RIP. Was in the Hourglass with Gregg and Duane and later worked for Capricorn in Macon.

Randy Poe shared a nice story about Pete on Facebook. Randy is so eloquent with this story telling, made me immediately look up (and appreciate) Pete Carr.

I remember when his band opened for Dickey and Great Southern at the Palladium in the late 70's. They were debuting an album with their hit "I'm Falling". Nicest bunch of people and great musicians. Dickey was debuting his second Great Southern album and blowing the roof off the venues he played.

I'm sure the band up there welcomes their Muscle Shoals brother with some beautiful music.
