Peachfest Article States Allman Brothers Possible Guests

There's an article in Allentown where Greg Allman states that he's returning to Peachfest this year but they're speculating that it could be as the Allman Brothers Band. It says that Greg's not stating whether he means he's returning alone or with the band. Whichever, & whomever the other guests are, its sure to be another cool festival this year !

This is from Jambase:
The Peach Music Festival will return to The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA on August 13-16, 2015. It will be the first post-Allman Brothers Band edition of the festival, though Gregg Allman has already confirmed that he will be returning to the event. If the 2015 Wanee lineup is any indication, other members of ABB will likely be there with their projects.
That sounds very clearly like the GAB will be there and some other ABB family bands. No hint of a reunion.

Gregg Allman Band:
Gregg Allman
Scott Sharrard-Guitar
Peter Levin-Keys
Steve Potts-Drums
Marc Quinones-Percussion
Ron Johnson-Bass
Jay Collins-Horns
Art Edmaiston-Horns
Marc Franklin-Horns

The Allmans Facebook account posted "the Allman brothers are no longer touring but other bands are...." It's an odd way to phrase it. It sounds a bit cryptic. By using those words, they can play together without going against anything they've said in the past. Warren and Derek are officially out of the band, but they can join whomever they want as guests. Playing a few tunes at Peachfestival is not "touring", so that's still true. I don't think they will ever be officially announced as part of the lineup, but I'd be shocked if they didn't play a couple of songs together each year at this festival only. I truly believe the 7 of them will play unannounced.

I truly believe the 7 of them will play unannounced.
And, it will be "epic" I'm sure! 😛

... and then you will wake up and face reality.

Maybe. Who do you think will headline? I don't see it being Gregg's band. Seems a bit to mellow for the closer. And if it's between Mule and TTB, who gets it? Maybe it will be a co-headliner, with then swapping spots each night.

..whatever "dudes" show up,it could be "epic". (sarcason on those words)
There was one thought that the 50th Anniversary reunion of the Dead could be announced. I don't know what year their 50th actually is. Maybe Weirs out of his funk whatever was happening last year that he had to cancel. He was pretty good the previous year & brought the deadheads anyway. I imagine ABB will want someone pretty popular to attract the crowds again. We'll see.

The "epic" career of the ABB is done.
I hope nobody buys a ticket expecting to see all 7 members of the last version of this band together at the same time. It's likely never happening again and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't happen in 2015 if it did.

looks to me like everyone is going to be there minus Derek. I cant imagine there would not be a few sit ins.

Peachfest doesn't have a lineup yet other than Gregg saying he'd be there, does it?
I'm sure there will be sit ins at different shows, but I seriously doubt any future ABB sets with all 7 members there at the same time will occur like some seem to expect.
