Peach lineup announced - Black Crowes, Trey Anastasio, Billy Strings headlining

The Peach Music Festival will return to Montage Mountain in Scranton this summer, with the Black Crowes, Trey Anastasio Band and Billy Strings headlining.
It’s the 10th anniversary for the jam band fest, staged by Live Nation, which began in 2012 as an Allman Brothers-connected gathering. This year’s multi-stage fest will take place from June 30 to July 3, and is the first of the region’s annual summer festivals to announce its lineup.
Top line headlining status will be shared by the Crowes, the reunited brother band fronted by Chris and Rich Robinson; Anastasio, the Phish guitarist who is a Peach regular known for sitting in with other acts, and Billy Strings, the bluegrass phenom born William Apostol who is nominated for two Grammys for his album Renewal.
Also on the bill are Grateful Dead-inspired band Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, reggae from Steel Pulse and The Wailers, blues guitarist Samantha Fish, and funk jam band Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. There are also many Allman Brothers Band related acts, including Jaimoe & Friends featuring original ABB drummer Jai Johanson and an all-star tribute to the ABB’s Eat A Peach album, which was released in 1972.

Duane Betts with Berry Oakley & Johnny Stachela on the bill as well

This makes the Allman Betts band hiatus all the more curious for me. Why aren't they playing together at this festival? Possible tension between members?

@bill_graham That has been my thoughts on it. Apparently no stress between Duane Betts, Berry Oakley and Johnny Stachela.
The thing that I noticed at Allman Betts Band shows I saw was Devon Allman having less stoplight time than he did in other bands he played with. Devon had songs in Allman Betts were he played acoustic guitar while Duane and Johnny had solos on electric guitar and Devon didn't sing or sang backing vocals.
But there were songs Devon sang and had electric guitar solos. So he had stoplight time but not a much as in the other lineups he had in recent years.

I assume you mean spotlight and not stoplight time?

@redhouse1969 I hope so:). I didn't catch that. My spell checker changes things to the point is impossible to read my sentences. Apparently I can't turn it off!
Instead of correcting spelling it changes words that are spelled correctly to a word that is used by me often. It's a challenge indeed.
Yeah SPOT LIGHT time.
But it could be something else with Allman Betts.
Musicians who need a lot of SPOTLIGHT time usually find they are happier in their own solo band.
Gregg Allman was that way and he liked being the only chef in the kitchen. Gregg had a solo band from the time he got angry about Queen of Hearts being rejected for Brothers and Sisters so decided to do Laid Back just so he could do it his way.
Someone asked Gregg about how that happened, Queen of Hearts being rejected for Brothers and Sisters not long before his death. Gregg said. " That was a long time ago so I don't want to get anything started but his initials were Butch Trucks."

I see Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience (sorry, I refuse to call it “Evening”) is also on the bill. If you are just a casual Zep fan, make sure to check them out. They really nail every Zeppelin tune they do - many which Jimmy, Robert, John Paul & John never played live. They have a 5th member that plays keys and rhythm guitar (when needed) which really helps them be able to pull off anything in the Zeppelin catalog.

I just saw Duane on hand bill, but no mention of Johnny and Berry, as said above.
cant make any conjecture on Allman Betts Band concerning spotlight time, as mentioned in prior post above.
Huge Zep fan and I like Jason's playing, but something about these tribute bands ,does not draw me in. Not sure why, It's probably a me thing. I guess if a tribute act was playing across the street with free beer I would be there! 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃
