With all the members of the ABB involved in side projects, it's kinda hard to keep up with everything. Gregg's band, Butch Trucks and the Freight Train Band, Les Brers, Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, Warren Haynes & the Ashes and Dust Band, Gov't Mule, Warren's Jerry Garcia Symphonic project, Phil Lesh & Friends, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Oteil's work in Dead & Company and Les Brers and other stuff - it's quite a list!
I thought it might help to have a mobile phone / tablet app with a consolidated tour date list including ticket links.
And you know me - I couldn't stop there so I added summaries from all their Facebook pages, news items from all their web sites, photos, videos, albums. Probably too much but you can pick and choose!
I also can send alerts to your phone or tablet when new shows are added. I won't overdo it - but I don't want to send a Peach-o-Gram every time we add shows or it would be inbox overload.
I haven't done any publicity of this yet. I'd like your feedback so I'm doing a soft launch here. You can just reply to this thread, or email or PM me with any feedback.

I have a couple of updates already in the works - but Apple is really slow to push out updates (it can take 1 to 3 weeks) so I'd rather hold off and see if you all have any ideas I should incorporate in the first one.
Stuff that doesn't work in the app but I've fixed in the first update:
- Butch's photo page
- Marc's news page
These both worked OK before I published to the app stores, but broke once published.

You (and Lana) go above and beyond always. We are so blessed to have both of you contribute so much for this community and for giving us all a place to meet such as this site. Throughout the highs and lows, you have both been so giving and patient. Projects like this App are the proof.
Thank you for all you do and have done. If I could, I would set up an Aerosmith show just for you and anyone you invite. 😉 Very deserving.
Sounds like a great idea Rowland. I'm so technically challenged that just downloading it will be a chore for me. However, ticket information, discount swag and free stuff are always great ideas to incorporate for bands to publicize themselves. 😉
Good point about technical challenge - lots of folks have phones but don't install apps... give it a try but let me know if you think a step-by-step guide would help and I'll make up a page linked to the "Get the App" page.
1. Click the link in my original post to see the "Get the App" page
2. Click the big black button with the Apple if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad
3. Click the big black button that says Google if you have an Android phone or tablet
4. Click the "Install" button in the app store page that appears on your device
5. When it's done installing, click "Open" to see the app.
If you want to get the news alerts, click "OK" or "Yes" when it asks if you will allow the app to send you Push Notifications. A fancy way of saying you get a text alert without having to check the app all the time!

Interesting thought on setlists.
I don't get setlists any more - I got them for all ABB shows but I'm not getting them for any of the individual band guy's projects. So it would be the same info as on this website - historical.
Another option is fan chat, although that always requires moderation 🙂 !

I'm liking it. Right now shows are listed chronologically which makes sense. Is there a way that you can prioritize by band (although I guess that would be no different than going to each bands website and hitting the "tour" tab.) Or maybe someone might be interested in focusing on just TTB and Mule. Is there a way to view a smaller subset of bands. Having said all that I'm good if you leave it just the way it is. Great tool.
