Outskirts of Town

I'm listening to Ludlow Garage tonight and they do just a great job with Outskirts. It's odd that the song never made it into their regular repeat rotation for the next 40 years, because they do it so well. It'd been a nice slow blues replacement for Stormy Monday now and then.

X2 -- would love to have heard this & Jelly Jelly in concert
I love the ABB
RIP, Gregg

I'll have to play the Ludlow version.
Have you heard the one on the Brothers and Sisters Remaster? It's on the "Rehearsals, Jams and Outtakes" disc. Just SMOKING hot..........Gregg and Chuck having a wondrous B-3/Piano battle!

Thanks. I only have the original vinyl. But I know the remaster is on Spotify. I'll check it out.

I loved the version on Ludlow garage.
I really wish they had brought this back into setlists more like they did with come and go blues, leave my blues at home, every hungry woman, the sky is crying, and don't keep me wondering.

I checked it out. I like it, but I really prefer the slow but hot burn of the Ludlow version, to this jazzier version.

The Ludlow version is lights out, but I prefer the version from the Fillmore East 2/70 album.
