Original DIXIE DREGS Lineup Featuring DEEP PURPLE Guitarist, WINGER Drummer To Embark On U.S. Tour

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I'm very much looking forward to this tour. It's hard (for me) to imagine a Dregs without the late-great T Lavitz, but I am happy they aren't letting T's passing stop them from sharing the music. (And yes, I realize T didn't play on their classic Capricorn releases in the 1970s.)
It's also cool to have Allen Sloan and Andy West back together with the band. I've only had the opportunity to catch reunion tours of the Dregs, so last time I saw the Dregs they had Dave LaRue on bass from SMB and Jerry Goodman on violin. Great players, of course, but I'm looking forward to hearing them with Allen and Andy.

I was asleep at the wheel and blew the opportunity to get Atlanta tickets. I will be seated (or jumping up and down) 2nd row - dead center for the Ponte Vedra show, though!

Tickets are $45-$60 for the Chicago show. And they must have changed something there because I've been going there for years and it has always been general admission.
This is a relatively small theater and a cool place. But that is a bit pricey for the venue.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

They are doing General Admission in a tiny theatre in DC, right next to Ben's Chili Bowl. I bought my ticket as soon as I heard. Same venue that Herring and McLaughlin played. Really looking forward to this show.

Steve Davidowski lives here in western N.C. and I ran into him a while ago at Old Hampton Country Store and Tavern one night. A good guy and still a music whiz.
