Old Grey Whistle Test 1974: PFM, prog rock

This video is a little grainy and has the irritating clock counter at the top of the screen, but the audio is solid. PFM are an Italian prog band - not everyone's cup of tea, but great players. This song is about 9 minutes long, great instrumental chops. Well worth your time if you like prog rock and don't mind some 70s goofiness:

Alright Jim. I enjoyed that. A musicians band I would think. Looks as if that Gibson ES-335 was purple and matched the color of all those mounted toms with the drummer who jumped out of his seat to hit that big gong.

The violin player was real good. Had classical training most likely. All of them fancy players.

And a tip of the hat to that faithful Indian companion Tonto.

This old Hottin' Holler music is wild in that one guy moves his tuners up and down during his solo. Wild.
