Congratulations to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Coach Urban Meyer and all of their loyal fans and supporters!

As a devout University of Alabama fan, I was pulling for the Buck's to win this one. I think the margin that they beat Oregon by makes my team look a little better in the end! 😉

Great game and a great season by OSU!

So, let the hating begin.
Cardale Jones is Superman.
His first start he wins the Big Ten Championship against Wisconsin 59-0.
His second start he beats the NUMBER 1 team in America, Alabama, to move on to the National Championship game against #2 Oregon.
His THIRD START he WINS the national Championship game!! 42 to 20! Against the Heisman trophy winning QB.

So, not bad for a rookie wouldn't you say?
And the tweets are from years ago....

So, haters, what say thee?

The tweets are from back in 2012.
Ohio State redshirt sophomore quarterback Cardale Jones may never escape the tweet from October of 2012,
Coach Meyer had this to say more recently:

“Cardale, you talk about a changed guy,” Urban Meyer said Tuesday after Ohio State got back to practice after a week off for spring break with the third practice of spring football, and the first in partial pads. “He was a guy who couldn’t get out of his own way a couple years ago, and now he’s making progress in the classroom … you remember the famous tweet or whatever. It’s a different guy. He had to be a different guy or he wouldn’t be here.”

No hate. I just thought it was funny. If it was from years ago, hopefully he's gotten it together. After all, it is THE Ohio State University...

BTW, how's the ex-band director doing these days? I heard there was quite a bit of drama with him and the band at the beginning of the season.

And glad to see my Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come in at #7 in the final Coaches Poll and #8 in the AP.

My Bruins finished 10th. I was hoping for a higher finish considering the pre-season hype but they lost 3 games. That being said, UCLA played the toughest schedule in the country. While we lose Brett and Eddie, the Bruins have 18 starters returning.

While it was a fun football season, I'm glad it's over. Time to chill… Cool

Well, living the last 25 years in Eugene, it's no surprise who I was pulling for, but there's no denying that they played the better game and deserved the win. Congrats, Ohio.

Cardale seemed to handle himself well yesterday when announcing his return next year to OSU. It will be fascinating to watch the quarterback situation unfold. I was at the Virginia Tech loss. What an incredible turn around and improbable finish to the season. Love my Buckeyes. Living in Cleveland it's the only choice if you are interested in good football.

Bumping this up just because the 2 NFL teams I follow were NO WHERE NEAR the playoffs.

Basking in this National Championship thing a bit more.
