Off to see Dan Baird at Hill Country in NYC!

Anyone else going? He is one of the great no holds barred rock and rollers left out there and if you get the chance to see him whether it is with his band Homemade Sin, the Yayhoos or any other combo, highly recommended!

I wanted to go to this show so badly but my wife and I are on a family vacation in Puerto Rico. He so rarely plays the states with the Homemade Sins. I was tempted to go to New Haven which is on Tuesday but I would be pushing it with my wife as I am going to Nashville next weekend to see Gary Clark Jr at the Ryman.
Please give a report on the shows.

Wow! Just about 2 hours of sweat inducing, ear ringing, face grinning rock and roll. Me and my buddy Scorchy enjoyed every note from front and center of the stage and they are one heck of a fun and talented band. Whew!

Seen Dan many times going back to his first solo tour in 93.94? and it's always a great show. love this line up with Warner Hodges on guitar but it's a shame bass player Keith Christopher got canned a while back. They play an acoustic tour in Europe this June and I'm sure they'll be back again with the electric show later in the year.

The new bass player was very good - do you know what happened with Keith? I asked Dan about the Yayhoos doing anything new and he said there was one more mountain to climb which I now guess means Keith.

Great pics Mike! Yeah, this was from Dan's Facebook page at the time.
Dear Homemade Sin fan
Keith Christopher has been fighting a battle with his private demons for some while now. For the last few tours, his band mates could never be sure which Keith would show up on any given night, Keith the bass playing genius, or the other Keith.
Of late though, the bass playing genius has failed to make any appearances.
Everyone in the band, not least Keith himself have reluctantly had to accept that things could no longer continue as they have been. It would appear that Keith needs professional help and we are not qualified to give him that help. In fact, we feel that our current touring schedule is actually having a detrimental effect on Keith's ability to address his problems.
We also feel that it would be unfair to fans, promoters, ourselves and Keith himself to deliver shows that we feel are substandard.
Dan, Warner and Mauro each go back over thirty years with Keith and have tried everything within their power to avoid arriving at the decision that they have, which is to continue without Keith.
Last night's show in Lledia took place as a three piece. We aim to continue from Madrid onwards with a replacement bassist.

Yes, nice photos !
Man this is one of those shows/tours that I wish was within reasonable distance to see, as in not a flight and hotel distance.
Oh well.
