Hoping to attend my first Summer Stage Concert on Monday to see TTB. Has anyone been before who can give me some insight?

1) Will they have seats on the artificial lawn or will it be standing only? ........Can you bring in a lawn chair?

2) If the doors open at 6, what time should I get there to get a reasonably good spot?

3) Is anyone familiar with the Summer Stage 'memberships' which advertise that you will be afforded express entry into the area and access to reserved seating? Website suggests it is a charitable donation of $150 for two people, which would quickly pay for itself if you attend only a couple of shows ......

Thanks in advance ............

1) There are no seats on the artificial lawn except for the bleacher seats at the back of the Summer Stage arena. People bring blankets and sit on the artificial lawn, but once the music starts, everyone stands. You can not bring a lawn chair inside, but there is plenty of room outside for blankets and lawn chairs. Also lots of benches around where you can sit and hear the music, but not see the band.

2) Doors are at 5, the opening act (don't know who it is, but there will be an opening act) will be on at 6. Central Park is very strict about ending time for their shows, so the show will end by 10pm. Be there by 3pm at least to have any hope of getting inside. Remember, you still hear the show perfectly from outside the fenced in Summer Stage area.

3)Sorry, don't know anything about the "memberships" or the "reserved seating"

I thought I originally read "Doors @ 5," but the City Parks site now says 6.

I was told by 'City Parks' that "doors open at 6pm, the opening band starts at 7pm and TTB should be getting on around 8pm".

That place is going to be a mad house for that show. If I go it will be to listen from outside.

I saw Gary Clark Jr there last year and though crowded, it was such a beautiful night, everyone was in a good mood and it was like one of the best night in NYC ever. I think Monday night will be the same. Especially if it's a nice night. It should be a relaxed night with a lot of dancing, if the band can get out of the mid-tempo range some. And since it's like a home city show for the band, it should be a fun night all around. I think it's cool Summerstage has this band for a free show. Very cool.

WOW !!! I thought that was really strong. Derek seemed to step it up when Doyle Bramhall joined after the first few songs. I was really impressed with the show...... They started at 7:50pm and played until 9:50pm. Perfect night; not too hot and the rain held off. The place was packed.

It was a great show, great set list, and I always love how awesome the following for this band has become. It was a great crowd, Susan and Mike sounded great. I'm also amazed how tight they pack that venue, but I can't pass up seeing TTB for free. Sharon Jones was a nice surprise.

Also, "Tell Mama" is actually a Clarence Carter song called "Tell Daddy" - Etta James covered it.

My wife adores the TTB. I couldn't get anything up close @ the Beacon for my baby, so I just got scalped for Row BB on Oct 2nd, We'll be celebratiing our 26th Anniversary on Aug 19th and she'll be "Bound For Glory" with her ticket gift.
