Randall Bramblett has announced the release of a new studio album, Devil Music, due September 18 from New West Records. Bramblett recruited a handful of A-list special guests to join him on the recording, including Derek Trucks, Mark Knopfler and Chuck Leavell.

Thanks for the link!

Interesting song, to say the least. Gonna see Randall this Saturday at Bennie's Red Barn here on the island. Still chompin at the bit for the upcoming Knopfler show in October at St. Augustine!

Randall's an amazing talent! He is a musician's musician and a songwriter's songwriter. (To me) he's the equivalent of Donald Fagen and Randy Newman fused together. Hard to find two people in a large crowd who knows who he is, but all of the great performers know who he is.

100% agree.

He's been one of my favorite songwriter / musicians since his days with Scott & Tommy.

Still think "That Other Mile" & "Light Of The Night" are tremendous albums...great stuff!!!!!!!

Looking forward to hearing it on the CD. The versions of all the new stuff that the band played last night were off the wall! Randall didn't have Mark Knopfler or Derek onboard, but that Nick Johnson youngun is a badass!

This 4 piece unit is tighter'n a gnat's a$$! I'd love to see them as an opening act for Knopfler and TTB. I think this would give them more exposure to folks who love their music than opening for Bonnie Raitt did a couple of years ago. Opening for Bonnie was great exposure, but her audience is just more mainstream (read Celine Dion) than the jam or guitar oriented audiences of TTB and Knopfler. Just my $.02! 😉

EDIT: add this link to story about Nick Johnson
