I really dug his last release, "This River" so I've been looking forward to this new album for a while now. The entire album is available to stream at the link below, and I think this might be the release that puts JJ and the band over a bit more. Fingers crossed!

Check out Derek's playing on "Every Minute".

I saw this show last Thursday in Albany NY. Great show all around. London Souls opened. They are down to a duo, no bass, just guitar & drums. They rocked. Picked up the Mofro CD and it has been in regular rotation since. Derek plays on one track & Luther Dickinson plays on 2, so he is keeping good company. Setlist:
Hide & Seek
Every Minute*
99 Shades
The Island*
Your Lady
Light A Candle*
Brighter Days
Everything Is A Song*
Orange Blossoms
Everything Good
Slow Hot Sweaty
Ho Cake
Night To Remember*
Lochloosa
Ol' Glory*
*indicates material from new alum
2 hr show

Saw them last summer. One of my fave shows of 2014 alongside the TTB and St Paul & The Broken Bones.

That's impossible. He's playing the Santa Cruz American Music Festival a week from Saturday, which is 5/23. I'm thinking of going, waiting to see what my work situation is that weekend.

Hey robslob, check the date on Lee's post Smile

The "next Saturday" he was talking about already happened, back in February.
