New CDS that I've acquired

Well, my grandma was given a few hundred cds to either keep or sell. I looked through some, and here's what I chose to keep for myself:
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds/Endless Summer
Beatles - Rubber Soul/Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
John Lennon - Double Fantasy/Imagine
The Doors - In Concert
Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Catch A Fire
Nirvana - Nevermind
Peter Tosh - Legalize It
Velvet Underground & Nico - Velvet Underground & Nico
Lionel Richie - Can't Slow Down/Dancing On The Ceiling
Simon & Garfunkel - Concert In Central Park
Led Zeppelin - IV
B.B. King - Live At The Regal

The only ones I have are the last two. Both great. I think Led Zeppelin IV is mentioned in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

The Doors in concert is good.

Lee, if I recall correctly, in "Fast Times," Damone recommends Zepp IV as the ultimate make-out music, and then in the next scene, our protagonist is on a date but has "Physical Graffiti" playing.
Allmanfan21, you scored some wonderful albums. Enjoy finding the lesser-heard tracks in between some justifiably famous songs.

Ha Ha. Yeah, something along the lines of "Put it on side B of Led Zeppelin IV and you are good to go". I don't recall Physical Graffiti being played. Guess they screwed that up. Then Damone got Jennifer Jason Leigh pregnant. Great movie!:D

Here's a few more cds that I got at Half Price Books on Friday:
Cream - Wheels Of Fire
The Doors - The Doors
Matchbox 20 - Yourself Or Someone Like You
U2 - Unforgettable Fire/Rattle & Hum
The Who - Who's Next

That's a nice haul af21! I would have kept the same ones. Even the Lionel Richie album has some great ballads. The man could write a great one in the last 70s and early 80s! And had a velvet voice.
Fast Times scenes with LZ IV mention then Kashmir playing on the date:
I was HS Class of '87 so we were totally in to this movie....even though some things had changed about high school life and society in those few years after it came out (we so wanted all that to still be true). I need to watch that one with my sons now that they are 18 and 20!
