Hey all, had the great pleasure of seeing Nels Cline and Julian Lage perform as a guitar duet in The Egg of NY's capital this evening. An inspiring and joyful display of warm, nuanced, conversational and true music played with big ears and big hearts... do soak it in and support it if you can!

Before the encore, Mr. Cline said something like, "well, we'll see how this works out... It isn't really in our wheelhouse, but I'm a sentimental guy, and it's Duane Allman's birthday today" and hence Little Martha. An unexpected gift to hear two guitarists of such talent and sensitivity play a never before, and perhaps never again, treat for that ol Dog in the Sky. Complemented them on it when they were signing copies of their new (just about to be released) CD after the show, and Nels mentioned he had been at The Last Show... "pretty heavy" lol yup no doubt. Peace n peaches baby... Duane shines brighter every day, and we'd all know his name even if he never picked up a guitar. (((Happy birthday Brother)))
