Need Your Love So Bad - Green’s Solo

I know. You Tube guys are a dime a dozen. But this nice.

Some of those YouTube players are real good.
He has that Peter Green's tone and feel very nicely.
And a beautiful Les Paul too.

This young lady covers David Gilmore nicely. And wow what a fantastic sounding Stratocaster. Must be the amp or sound board.
QUEEN! She is good. But do these YouTube wonders ever developed their own style?
Another chick doing Gilmore real nice. Love that Les Paul with zebra pickups. Pretty.

there's a guy who does duane's solo from "why does love got to be so sad?"
hits all the notes. wow

Jeff Beck is fantastic on these old rock instrumentals from the late 1950's.
Warren Haynes said in different interviews I've read that Jeff Beck is his favorite electric guitar player and I have this entire show on DVD. I can see Warren in the audience. You can catch a part of Warren's head behind a lady's head in this clip.

Posted by: @robertdee@rusty Yeah Jeff is older than me I think and I'm 74. It has to be a dye job.
I feel your pain (share your Rogaine?) - I just hit 64 (will ya still need me? ...). To the nearsighted, my hair color appears to be platinum blond. In reality, it's white. It's what comes after gray! I guess I don't care what color my hair turns so long as it don't turn loose! That'll probably happen in time. Gettin' old ain't for sissies! 😉

@rusty You are correct. Getting old is a challenge indeed. I'm pricing some walkers this weekend.
This is Bill Gates co-founder of Microsoft doing a great imitation of Hank Marvin of the Shadows. Hank was an early guitar hero of Clapton, Beck, Page and Gilmore back in 1959 and 60.
Here are the Shadows doing Apache. It was number one for 5 weeks and sold over a million copies for The Shadows.
Hank Marvin isn't mentioned much in guitar talk circles these days. I think he didn't have a finger vibrato. Only used the Whammy bar.
Anyway Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, David Gilmore, Gary Moore and other noted guitarists mentioned Hank Marvin as a great early influence back in 1960 when Apache hit big!!

Was this thread about Peter Green at some point? lol

@jimsheridan Well in a way. Peter Green hasn't appeared on this thread yet.
It's began with a YouTuber playing like Peter Green and was followed with female YouTubers playing like other famous guitar players. They were all doing covers then I added Jeff Beck covering Joe Turner and Shake, Rattle and Roll. I guess I let it come off the rails by linking Gene Vincent so someone could see the Blue Caps because Beck was wearing a Blue Cap in honor of those boys. Then Beck with a Blue Cap on his head covering Hank Marvin and the Shadows big 1960 hit Apache and covering Sleep Walk by Santo and Johnny.
Then I linked Bill Gates co-founder of Microsoft covering Hank Marvin. ( Actually it is Hank Marvin who looks like Bill Gates) Maybe I kinda messed up again so I apologize.
But I love Peter Green too so let's put him on this thread.
