Men's Water Polo NCAA Titles: ( top 4 schools )
Cal - 14
UCLA- 11
Stanford -10
USC -9

all pac-12 schools ... Conference of Champions. Ever play water polo?

no I have not nor do I care. some exact quotes by bill Walton after saying "the conference of champions"

-"that's why all the great players want to come play basketball for one of the powerhouse schools"

-"if you are playing basketball in the pac 12 you don't get a game where you can just rest. toughest conference in college"

-just the thought of having a chance to hoist that national championship banner for these elite schools are why players like Ayton come to the pac 12"

that's just 3 of his quotes that spring to mind all from this season and all after he said the pac 12 was the conference of champions. notice as far as basketball is concerned his quotes are bunk and out right false when talking about the last 30 years

"Conference of Champions" is a PAC-12 marketing phrase that they have earned. 500 National Championships in all sports.

Anyone that went to UCLA and played for John Wooden and won two titles while he was in college can say whatever he wants.

The "Conference of Champions" didn't win a game in the tournament. Grin

I think this was the first time ever. 😮

Michigan has played well, but the brackets have been as kind to them as I can ever remember for a team. The only top 25 they've played was mid-major Houston (#21). No other team they've played so far finished in the top 25 or even received a vote. Even their final 4 opponent finished outside the top 25, but did receive 68 votes. They'll make the final game, but the other 4 regional finalists all finished in the top 14. All but Texas Tech finished in the top 9. Be interesting to know if anyone else has ever had that easy of a ride to the final game

The best game match up wise was yesterday, Kansas/Duke. If you look at what all four of the Final Four teams played to get where they are, none of them played anyone highly ranked or seeded which makes sense. They play the lower seeded teams (except Loyola). But hey, the four left are the four left. Ever heard the saying that you can only play who is on your schedule?

I have two of the four last teams still alive. Unfortunately I kind of wish I had picked Villanova. I have Michigan winning it in one and Kansas in another so I still have a couple of shots. And they could meet in the last game. Saturday should be fun! Grin
