last night's philly/lakers game was tremendous-a showcase for the young up and coming stars...even Lonzo played great last night i thought philly was the better team but their defensive lapses were too much to overcome-Simmons & Embild are mindblowing!

I watched that game. The Lakers are going to be a force to be reckoned with in a year or two. 20 year old Brandon Ingram is REALLY starting to feel his oats............scary what he might turn into once he grows into his body. And the Lakers have a LOT more young talent to go with Ingram. Ball still hasn't found his shot but he is already effecting games in other ways. Some guys take awhile to find it............remember Kobe struggled his rookie year as well. And let's remember that an NBA three is significantly farther than a college three. Luke Walton proved during his Warriors gig that he knows what in the hell he's doing, so coaching is not an issue with this bunch.

Last night: Warriors 102 Detroit 98. This was in Detroit, the final night of a six game road trip, after the Pistons had already beaten the Warriors in Oakland earlier this year. It marked the very first time in Warriors franchise history that they have gone 6-0 on a road trip. In fact, it was the first time in nine years that ANY NBA team had gone 6-0 on a road trip and only the eleventh time in history that any NBA team had done it. And Curry missed the last two games of the trip (sprained ankle; MRI showed no structural damage). Teams the Warriors beat on this road trip: Lakers, Orlando, Miami, New Orleans, Charlotte, Detroit. The Orlando/Miami/N.O. segment was three games in four nights. Not exactly six powerhouse teams, but regardless: To go undefeated on a trip like that is a huge tribute to the Warriors' depth and coaching. By far the deepest team in the NBA, and Steve Kerr knows how to use his bench.

Nice to see the Pacers knock of the Cav's, Grin Grin Grin
Victor Oladipo had a big game. He is what the Pacers needed. It just was not gonna happen with George here.

Spurs over the Celtics and Pistons hung with GS. Good games!!

we've had a corner on that lately (blowing leads) -- 31-12 Memphis 2 nites ago, same margin last nite on the hoosier hardwood in the heart of hoops heaven, Conseco (I kno, it's not that) --
probably w/33 looking on & grimacing) -- we only won b/c of that bad pass at the end last nite

among the top 3 big dogs in each conf., I'd put us 6th -- Cavs are playing best of anybody -- Houston, unbelievable -- SA will be moving up quickly -- Raptors are big trouble for us, they're great -- & of course GSW

league seems to have flattened out tho -- after those 6 it's a .500-fest for the most part
but wait....Da Bulls??? W6, who'd athunk
Sixiz will snap brief skid 2nite -- Kristaps (knee) in & out of lineup -- I dislike both 😮

Let's Go Boys!! Thank You, Kyrie -- & Thank You Danny Ainge, the trade made it happen

their careers paralleled into immortality
13 years of green Garden glory
then their 2nd careers working for their home-state teams -- a little coaching, a little front office work, scouting etc.....
& now retired, & Happy Birthday #60, ....#32, Kevin McHale

LA Clippers 128 Houston 118........IN Houston. Wow. Austin Rivers had 36 (career high), Lou Williams 32 for the Clips. Coach Daddy must be awful proud right now. James Harden had his second consecutive 51 point game but Houston has lost both of them, Wed night was vs. Lakers.

& suddenly, L5 for them (Houston) -- they're depleted tho, no Capela is just as big as no CP -- we're not taking much from that win the other nite -- depleted, plus a lucky break at end when Harden shoved Marcus Smart
the pattern of playing 2 quarters of basketball has been addressed, but still persists......

we've played a bunch more games than everyone else w/Europe trip coming up -- Jaylen Brown (knee) day to day -- Stephen C set to return for you guys robslob -- didn't look at box from last nite, but regardless -- Warriyz have won w/out Stephen -- wottateam -- tops -- I think we're almost with ya -- good games & HNY hoops fans

I watched the game. Steph was ridiculous. Memphis is still very good even after losing Zac Randolph and Conley being hurt. Steph was just too much. From Yahoo:

"You can feel it in the building," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "Everything's different. Tempo. Energy. The crowd is going nuts. Steph is special."

This was Curry's best game of the season -- among the best of his career -- and it came at a time when the Warriors needed some electricity to an offense that sorely missed his presence. He took 17 shots and made 13. He took 13 3-pointers and made 10. He took two free throws and made both.

"That was phenomenal," Kevin Durant marveled.

"I just was happy to be back out there with my guys," Curry said. "When you sit and watch for 11 games, you just wonder what it's going to be like to get back out there. I finally got that opportunity.

"I really didn't know what to expect. I just wanted to get some good reps, get up and down and see how my wind was. Surprisingly -- I know I shot it well -- but my body felt way better than I expected."

Memphis is still very good? Huh? They are 11-25 have a .306 winning pct and only the Hawks are 1 game worse.

I stand corrected then, I did not know that. I was only going by last night's game and they were in it until the 4th quarter despite Steph's 38 point performance. Tyreke Evans and Mark Gasol both played very well. But then again, the Warriors always take the opposing team's best shot. The night before this game we lost to Charlotte, and that was in Oakland.

Yes regardless of Memphis record that was a remarkable return to action for Curry.

Celtics played 40 games before New Years which is the 1st time in their history it happened and got to 30 wins already. Can't wait for the Wednesday match up with the Cavs.

19 minutes, 17 points -- a great start for IT
his return is becoming something of a shitpile --
my guess is that Isaiah simply was unaware that in their only other visit this season Feb. 11, #34 is being honored & raised to the rafters in retirement on Paul Pierce Day in Boston...
...when IT made the polite request about postponing love for him until he could be on the floor

general consensus, IT needs to be honored tonite, playing or not -- he should play the first 5 min or so as a compromise -- bummer, but it's the only chance this season

let's go Celts -- Jae Crowder deserves big love too, he was big up there at forward for us -- all fans have opinions, I thought all the trades we made over the summer weakened us -- all-wrong

I agree. If they can keep it together, healthy and somewhat fresh ,they will be very tough.

It'd certainly seem so -- we shall see
Spurs rested virtually their entire team tonite against Phila -- this to me wouldn't sit well if I were a fan -- of either team
Let's go Celts, all love for Isaiah

L.A. Clippers 126, Warriors 106...........IN Oakland. Steph Curry (injury) and Klay Thompson (coach's day off) did not play but that's not much of an excuse..........L.A. was missing a BUNCH of players including Blake Griffin. Warriors' main problem was Lou Williams who finished with 50 for the Clippers.
Kevin Durant had 40. The Warriors had beaten The Clippers 12 straight times going into this game so this must have felt great for L.A.

kinda cool to see a veteran guy like Williams suddenly playing like crazy like that
DeM. Cousins, 15 points, 16 rebounds, 7 steals, 5 assists, 3 blocks against NYK -- the guy is scary-good, the best big-man game since Wilt The Stilt IMO, & in concert w/ADavis, what keeps them from winning -- they were/still are my Big 3 sleeper pick w/Rajon

at any rate Rajon should get the same friendly applause tmrw nite as in previous visits -- we will have our hands full w/that team -- our former 1st round pick E'twan Moore, playing well for them

the geat Tony Allen, injured unfortunately -- Tony, Leon Powe, Glen Davis, James Posey -- awesome -- just like our team so far this year -- let's go Celts

RIP, JoJo White -- one of our greats -- he & Don Chaney in the backcourt, Cowens center, Havlicek & Paul Silas up front on those early-mid70s teams (franchise-record 68 wins 1972-73) -- a great player -- only 71, dang

Yeah I guess you had your hands full with that team as N.O. won in Boston Tuesday night in O.T. Yes, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins are a scary inside duo. I wonder though if they can have success in 2018 when small ball rules the NBA. They've got some good support.........Rondo..........Ian Clark (ex-Warrior guard who can really score). They are still a couple players away though. For one, they need a small forward who is a serious scoring threat. I don't think anyone now can go all the way without a couple of big time 3 point shooters. I'm not really sure that's good for the game, either. I like The Pelicans' old school style.

Warriors won at Chicago last night, 14th straight road win.............only two away from The Lakers' record of 16 straight on the road in '71-'72.

Speaking of 1971-72, DeM. Cousins triple double Monday was the first 'of its kind' line since Kareem did it that season (1972) -- 44 pts 24 rebs, 10 assists --

your guys going good as expected, closing in on that road record -- we're at a brief impasse -- looking forward to it Sat nite! Grin

final note, OKC epipha-nee, Dec. 18 -- they won despite a combined 12 points from Melo & John Ringo -- they're on a 13-5 run since & challenging Big 3 div. rival MN -- gosh what's happened to Cavs tho

LA missed all those free throws & we still couldn't get it last night -- younger guys getting a sampling of the travel grind -- no sweat about anything -- Tor still right there as xpctd -- we'll get a W on Doc & LAC 2nite

I like the NBA. But what I love about the NFL (despite the Pats dynasty) is that the final 4 included 3 teams who didn't make the playoffs last year including one who went 3-13.

Years after blowing up the team to get young and then rebuild the 76'ers are now a couple games of .500. They stand no shot, as just one example. The NBA doesn't give hope to enough franchises.

I'm a Hawks fan. We blew up what was left and are going young. We have no chance for at least 3-4 years and probably beyond that.

I still love some of the NBA drama and I'll watch more as the season gets near the end and then the playoffs.

Well there is some truth to what you say lets also remember there have been 4 AFC QBs that have played in the Super Bowl in the last SEVENTEEN years. 17. And one of those was there once.

maybe I'm misreading what you are saying but in the last 17 the AFC has been represented by brady, peyton, big ben, dilfer, flacco and gannon. that's 6 QBs from the AFC since 2001

agreed. i can name 10 guys better than cousins the last 20 years

what's well beyond preposterous is saying 10 players are better than him over last 20 years -- you misunderstand, I was referring to centers -- players of his ilk -- centers/big men --

Post-Wilt, there's Kareem, the Chief, Ewing, Olajuwon, D. Robinson, Bill Walton (ponytailed Portland version 😮 -- then Shaq, Duncan, & into the 20 year period mentioned --

so Dunc, Dirk, Shaq ... to be kind, Embiid......6 more? with a more diverse game than DeMarcus Cousins as far as a big man with agility impacting most every possession at either end of floor??????? -- how exactly do those 4 players rate so obviously over Cousins??? dream/name on

ABA legend ARTIS -- played briefly w/C's end of career -- boy Those would've been some duels (Artis/DeM.)
more than anyone, Indy Pacers've put Cleve on the skids -- will they again tonight
