Ok. The kids are gone all weekend. The wife is gone tonight and tomorrow night the two of us are going to our favorite restaurant in the world for her birthday.

My kids are Irish twins. My daughter turned 20 on 11/2 and my son turned 21 today. My wife and I are officially teen-free. My son is heading in from Pace University and we're going to get a beer, Just a beer. He's got to go down to Pa for Reservist duty and then the Marine Ball. Now having a Soph and Junior in college you can imagine a blue collar guy like me wouldn't turn down a 13hr overtime shift on a quiet Saturday, but damn straight I did. I'll be driving 2hrs south tomorrow to meet and his girlfriend for 5 min's to take some pictures, get back in my truck and take the 2hr trek back home. My hearts pumping just thinking about it. He said don't trouble myself he'd take some pic's, Ugh ugh, I don't trust them to be quality. My wife wouldn't drive down solo and if she did, Ugh, ugh, I definitely don't trust them to be quality. She'd take 2 pic's from 50' away and my son will be anxious trying to rush out. Ugh, ugh.

He had one last year all dolled up in Marine blues and white cover, but he was a private 1st Class and now he's a Lance Corporal and it's a new chevron. I'm going to load up some tunes and spend some time breathing in some proud ass Dad moments myself. Ain't no time, money, or miles keeping me from digging the blessings. Enjoy The weekend!

No lubricant required! 😛

Me? The missus and three other ladies are hosting a multi-family garage sale - which means that they'll probably convene, compare and then swap junk - which I'll end up hauling up and down stairs at four different residents. Then, wifey will likely need to head over to Beth, Pat and Evonne to buy accessories to go with her newfound junk. Hopefully, I'm done by 3:30 to catch BAMA vs Miss State!

Mine ain't bad, either. My nephew is getting married tomorrow in San Diego and I'm flying down early AM, fly back Monday morning.

I don't have any kids of my own, but of my six nieces and nephews, I am really proud of this kid. His Mom, my sister, did NOT raise her three kids right. She barely graduated from high school herself but decided that home schooling all three was the way to go. They sat around the house in their pajamas until 11:00 AM every day until they were in 10th grade when she finally came to her senses and got them into school. The other two kids, both girls, are 25 and 27 and complete losers, unable to support themselves. But the nephew, 26, was able to break out of it. He's going for a Ph.d at UC San Diego in Health Administration, minor in Epidemiology! Just a great kid, and a very smart kid. I wouldn't miss his wedding.

Then Sunday a bunch of us family will be with an Aunt and Uncle. My Dad's sister's husband is not doing well, still living at home but with a feeding tube in his stomach. I love Uncle Bill to death, he and his wife are the kind that God just does not make anymore. But they're both in the 80's, and as they say, sh*t happens. This may be the last time I see him.

I cant beat any of Ya'll 🙁 oh well, nobody has it all Smile

if we're lucky, Kevin will have a good day at work, Ill have a good continued dog training (gotta be consistant, at 29 months Petunia hasn't quite outgrown the terrible 2s yet, oy, we're getting there)

the problem being she is capable of hurting/killing something or somebody and has ( silly rabbits, camp outside the fence 4 crying outloud !) She has no quams about either..very strong prey instinct..

if we're lucky, the kids will be doing something worthwhile and fun and are happy giving back a little of their blessed lives of spoiled rotten pleasures, while their big Sis watches over and does her job as guardian Angel..

she was an Angel here on earth, truly..am thankful for the time , if selfishly wish we had more..

if Im lucky, I can talk Kevin into delish freshly imported from ice cold Irish waters Fish and Chips at the Ray (think Van 's the Celtic Ray)

that would do it for me...don't have the strength to ask 4 more lol

oh, having a party Sunday, we have very dear wonderful friends coming down, friends from this very site that are now lifelong and loved

BlueDad, don't make all of us have to give up our grand plans to come and post bail! Smile

Bird, don't b beating yourself up, hear?

Rob, some kids/folks have to learn the hard way, they'll be alright, late bloomers save a cold Spring Smile

Rusty Smile

Congrats to lucky Dad kids doing you proud! awesome

Steve Smile

Everyone enjoy wives, kids ,grands, concerts! 1 beer..Im thinking 1 Guiness, no, better yet, there's a lighter Irish I like..forget the name..Guiness knocks me on my @$^ l

Looking forward to reviews Smile

if u can find it in your hearts to whisper a pray or send good vibes, my Mom is not feeling her holy Irish terror best..Im headed over the bridge /river check spend some time with her this morning....thankful she is still with us at 92

Wish me luck people, enjoy yours and report back....will be fun to hear if our weekend meets our great expectations Smile

Tell me about it!

She has the strength of her Shepherd Mama, with that edgy wildness of her Husky Daddy..not a dog for the faint of heart..

We socialized her from the time she was a small pup , she worked with us 7 days a week till last January.

In 29 months, she made clear she didn't care for (only) one customer (turned out to b a scumbag, stiffed us for $100 🙁

and one neighbor here at home, she doesn't like one neighbor, and truthfully, he's a giggilo (sp?) with a sugar mama, pos . I don't like him either.

We don't let her out of our sight.

Someone must have prayed and sent good vibes, Thank you!

Mom's having her best day in weeks Smile Im bringing her back Chinese later this afternoon, she loves Chinese.

and DAVE MASON will be across town next Saturday ..I picked up a paper while I was out, couldn't believe my eyes, Dave Mason!

someone must have a direct line:)

Wont beat anyone this weekend, but Dave will be hard to beat next Saturday..

God bless, back out the door, stopped home to drop Petunia off..big puppy likes her afternoon naps Smile

Well all in all, I'd say the garage sale was a success. Made a couple hundred bucks - almost worth getting out of bed so early for, and all the really heavy stuff sold so I don't have to cart it back upstairs. Trying to get a little nap in before I head over to Buffalo Wild Wings to catch the BAMA game with my fellow ex-patriots. Thinkin' maybe a haircut and a suit ... in case I run into Bluedad! 😉
