My Bro on Jimmy Fallon Tonight

Cool. I saw it. He was playing probably a Strat on the left side of the screen?

@robertdee: Read my post again

I watched it this morning...Late night TV is far past my bedtime but I did record it

@robertdee: 10 million copies? Jagged Little Pill (1995) has sold 33 million copies, ranking 13th on the list of greatest selling records of all-time. It has outsold any record The Beatles ever released. If you are familiar with Alanis' career, you know that a big reason for this is that JLP was a HUGE female empowerment record. Sometimes I think about 50% of every teen/20's/30's females on planet earth must have bought it. Not that men don't like it as well. I have it, it's just an outstanding record, and I don't believe there is one single cut on it that was not a hit or at least received massive airplay. Alanis is really a tremendous songwriter, and not just on JLP. My only complaint is that, being Jason's brother, I have seen her live at least a dozen times, always comped and always great seats. She plays nearly all, if not all, of JLP at every single show. Not like ABB where you were always pretty much guaranteed a new, fresh setlist.

JLP is a really good album. I saw her (and your bro) about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it.
Funny thing about that album - it was criticized in the press for being about man hatred or something like that (guess who the critics were). Never mind that a large portion of lyrics or rock / pop / blues songs are demeaning to women if not frankly misogynisitic.

Really like that. I’m a huge Christmas music fan and that’s cool. Different than most takes on the song.

@robslob Wow 33 million copies. I was just guessing when I said 10 million. I remembered it was huge.
Biggest from the Allman Brothers Band is 7 million for" Brothers and Sisters".
We love the Brothers and they were number one with me, but they were not a big seller of albums.
After the 1989 reunion, they had just one* to sell 500,000 and earn a Gold record. "Where It All Begins". "Seven Turns" was just under 500,000.
* Didn't count a 1991 compilation release titled "1969-1979 A Decade Of Hits" which is Platinum - 2 million copies.
It is tracks from their Capricorn albums and is just their 4th album to sell over a million.
"Fillmore East", "Eat A Peach" and B&S are the others.
