Grateful to have seen: ABB from 1992 to 2014, Bob Dylan, Hot Tuna/Jorma, Jerry Garcia, Doc Watson, Vassar Clements, Earl Scruggs, BB King at the Apollo Theatre on 4/4/97, Pinetop Perkins, Canned Heat with Henry "Sunflower" Vestine, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Warren Zevon, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson

Disappointed that I didn't get to see: Duane, Lowell George, John Lee Hooker, Canned Heat when Alan Wilson was alive, Albert Collins, Dave Brubeck, Miles, Blind Blake

Great topic, I've often thought about this myself.

Most grateful: John Lee Hooker, (3 times), Albert King, Johnny Shines (Robert Johnson's road partner). SRV.

Most Disappointed: Muddy Waters- I had a chance to see him with Clapton, but missed it!
Blues Brothers- we had tickets and they cancelled because of a strike. The substitute band was Charlie Daniels- talk about disappointing!!!

I put it off for a while but seeing Santana was well worth it, Dennis Chambers was on the drums with him so that was icing on the cake.
Seeing this meeting of the spirits tour and catching John McLaughlin’s last US tour was definitely something I couldn’t miss, and for more of that icing, Jimmy Herring!

Most disappointed, Jerry. Would include Duane but I never had the chance so I can’t really count that.

As for ones I need to check off before it’s too late, gotta catch Stevie Wonder

I like the t shirt--"I'm old but I saw all the good bands" or something like that...I feel that way a lot, especially when I saw most everybody on somebody's list--Elvis Presley, Original ABB, Skynyrd [prior to 10/20/77] , The Band, The Beatles...I would add Bob Marley and the Clash, just cosmically great shows & of course Woodstock. and cream in I think 1968 on a chilly night.

that said, elvis was in his vegas years which was mainly a nightclub set & the times I saw the original abb I know I was more focused on whatever teenaged girls I knew at the shows than whatever the band was doing.

for disappointments, I took a 15 year break from music while raising daughters & completely missed SRV and aquarium rescue although I saw bruce h plenty in his other incarnations & got his autograph a few times. miles davis played an outdoor festival once but he was good and late & I gave up and left before he showed up.

I saw SRV but concert was a huge disappointment.

He opened for Joe Cocker but barely played a half hour. In a million life times I never would have guessed that SRV would open for Joe Cocker. Luckily, I was in my seat to catch all of SRV. He was at his peak both artistically and commercially but 30-40 minutes was about 2 hours less than I was counting on.

Huge regret
