… that you might listen to, taken a liking to.

I think I have a pretty open mind when it comes to different genres of music and listening. Some more than others obviously, some not at all!

Normally I would not listen to a band like Rammstein or Ghost. I was doing some YouTube surfing a few mons back and watched some videos and parts of concerts to the above mentioned. I would not call myself an avid fan of either one of them , but some of they're music I did enjoy.

I like Rammsteins more heavy riff stuff and Till Lindemann's vocal's are very interesting. Very deep and almost kinda menacing at times in the German language.

Rammstein: Paris - Links 2 3 4 (Official Video)

Rammstein - Live @ Moscow 29.07.2019 (Full Show)

Ghost - Live @ Moscow 21.07.2019

My son plays stuff I would never think to listen to. Video game soundtracks is not a category that I would ever pursue, but some are interesting.

Gorillaz is one of his band to play, and while they are far from my wheelhouse, their stuff is very cool.

Seems like everything is outside the wheelhouse for me the last ten years or so! A lot of times it comes from checking out artist influences.

Dark Eyes by Jack Teagarden.

Everyone in Big T's band was at the top of his game. They could REALLY blow.

I had posted on facebook what a great St. Patty's day live feed the Dropkick Murphys did.

Next day my youngest son (now a 28 yr old EMT) posted he had tried to get me interested in them when he was in high school.

I told him it's all about seeing a band live.

Growing up a die hard ABB fan Talking Heads were way off my radar. Worked their show at the civic center mid 80's and impressed with the energy but thought they were kinda weird and too pop. For some reason, past year or so, I'm into them huge. Maybe David Byrne's lyrics are finally hitting home. 😛

Even as a metal kid back then, I found some of their pulsing beats and rhythms pretty interesting..............Peace.......joe

So did I. Like I said, the energy was intense at that show. Some serious beats. Now, for some reason, that energy AND the lyrics, as whacky as they are, really get it. Maybe I'm just getting old and whacky myself. Grin
Stay safe Joe, you're a good guy. Cool

The week after we did our first major show at Rockers (Cheap Trick on Halloween night) we had talking heads.

Very good show, I have some of their CDs.

Probably my favorite TH song if Nothing But Flowers.

Talk about a pulsing beat.
