It's been nice to see what concerts the folks on this board have lined up for the winter. Let's open the topic up a little bit.

What good new music is coming out?
What artists are you wondering about?
What else are we going to get in 2019?

I did my pre-order for new releases from two of my favorites, Steve Hackett and TTB. There are no US tour dates for Hackett yet, but I have to believe he will be in the US in late summer. I am hoping the TTB are around in the summer too, and I'm rooting for An Evening With rather than Wheels of Soul.

I am not going out of my way to see the Stones, even though I love them, but if they put out a new album, I will be all over it. In the meantime, Keith is releasing an expanded version of "Talk is Cheap," and since the Stones have done DeeeLuxe Versions of Sticky Fingers and Exile, I would hope Goat's Head Soup is next!!

Likewise, I don't know that I will try hard to see The Who but will certainly buy any new studio work they do.

There is a rumor that Van Halen might reunite for some big shows, including Yankee Stadium. I think that could actually get me to go to an arena show.

I see Jimmy Page has overseen the release of a new amp. Jolly good. I am no longer holding my breath for new music from him, nor a Genesis reunion, nor any kind of tour of the U.S. by Rainbow. If Paul Westerberg releases something, I'd be delighted, and since Wilco has done DeeeLuxe Versions of their first two albums, I hope for more from them. I'd welcome anything from the Deep Purple, Rush, or Black Sabbath camps. I'll grab the new Mayall to hear Alex Lifeson.

I think 2019 might have to be the year that I work harder to look for some good new music from some young bloods!!

I am listening to a new album called I Used To Be Pretty by the Flesh Eaters. Good rock n roll.

New albums are coming from Galactic, Greensky Bluegrass (already out), Billy Strings, Hayes Carll, and Todd Snider have me excited.

That jambase link is a good weekly feature of new albums.
