I love this song but this version is not that great. Band sounds like it can't quite swing the beat.

@waitinforrain Chuck Leavell sounds fantastic. He's as good as Dave Brubeck and Ramsey Lewis. 

I guess you're right about the rest of it. They seem to never grab the beat and swing with it. 

But I enjoyed the listen. 

The Mule usually does'nt play a cover the exact way it should be played. It's the Mule

I hear you on the beat, and that’s actually I like it. I kept waiting for that “Traffic groove” to kick in, and it didn’t, but I was like “ok, they’re coming this different.”

You may be right that they just didn’t have it together. But, I guess that’s the cool thing about art and eye is in the beholder and all that . . . I found it cool. Built a neat sort of tension with their off beat.
