That would work. I am hoping for a sample the following night in Montreal which is much closer to a proper Mule - O - Ween night. 😉 Had hoped to make Albany and Montreal but work interferes. That and the fact that Orlando and Mickey Mouse now have all my money.

It's official Albany
From Mule page:

This year, Gov't Mule will be celebrating Halloween early with our annual Mule-O-Ween show taking place on Saturday, October 29 at The Palace Theatre in Albany, NY. Each year comes with a different theme and below is your first hint for this year's performance. Tickets are on sale now!

Anybody got a thought about the "clue" ???

That is funny as just yesterday on my walk I was listening to the Milwaukee show with Dave Mason sit in and thought to myself the Mule would do Traffic this year for Halloween.

I am guessing Warren is doing a one off show on Halloween with Phli at Capitoll?

They've frequently added a second guitarist to these Halloween shows. For this one though - they'll likely need a saxophone player. Let the speculation begin! I'd like for it to be Bill Evans - but Ron Holloway would work too. Randall Bramblett would be a nice choice as he was in some latter day Traffic lineups. Or someone new - it's not like there's shortage of Grade A musicians that Warren knows.

Karl Denson would be the perfect guest. Double duty on sax and flute. Here is a clip of Sad and Deep As You from a Jam Cruise years back.

Unfortunately Denson has his own gig that night. I checked in on him before floating my suggestions.

Purple would be cool.
I think a night of Tull would be nice, but I am not sure if a lot of people would be into that,if it would get to "prog" sounding. They would have to be selective in the songs form that catalog.

Maybe have the first set JT second DP.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Nice song list. Mule did Feelin Alright with Dave Mason himself when he sat in with them in Milwaukee. ( as well as Sad and Deep with Dave Mason ) . I also saw it in 2001 and NYE in 2011.

Bummer! When I saw Mule-o-Ween, I thought "That would be awesome: Two of my favorite bands, Mule and Ween are playing together!" but no, it's some halloween thang. Oh well. Maybe they'll do Glad or, even better, Stranger to Himself!

Really looking forward to Saturday.
Its been a while since my last Mule show (Dec 30 '15)
since I didn't make Mt Jam or Peach Fest this year.
Catching up on my Traffic tunes.
Hopefully we'll get some horns ....Kofi or Bill Evans would be great.
Weather looks a little iffy.
I'll be wearing my Jerry Garcia mask.

Preshow party at the Hampton Inn, lots of us staying there, right around the corner from the venue.

I'll be wearing my Farmer shirt and a CIA baseball hat.

Say hello if you see me.
