Written for Patti Boyd who married George Harrison. Eric Clapton loved her so but could not have her yet, she influenced Layla and was the one he wrote that for. He eventually married her. They had a son who fell out the window in a NYC hotel room and died. Patti and Eric divorced, she later married a real estate mogul, and Eric found love again with a woman in Ohio with whom he had a child and remains happily married.
Beautiful women inspire men, and their inspirations move others like fibonacci waves throughout the universe.
One person influences millions even unknowingly.
