Last night Washington Nationals pitcher threw a beat down on my New York Mets, throwing a no-hitter, his second of the year. Scherzer, became one of only 5 pitchers in MLB history to throw 2 no-hitters in the same season, joining Detroit Tigers pitcher Virgil Trucks, uncle of Butch, and great uncle to Derek.

One of those strange things in baseball.Trucks threw 2 no-hitters in a year when his record was 5-19.
Sort of like,in 1958 Vic Power had 3 stolen bases.Two of them were straight steals of home plate-in the same game.
