Locomotive Breath

Martin Barre does a nice spin on this tune. For about the first three minutes its a little different with some nice saxophone and then it kicks into more like the original.

Martin has great tone(organic),emotive, and a very underrated guitar player.
He can really work it over when he gets into it. Nice overdriven midrange bark.

The studio version is good to. Its off his Order of Play 2014 release.
I really like his vocalists, pretty strong.

Great player, deserves more recognition than he gets.

Yeah that rocks. It would be cool to see MB sit in with Govt Mule.

I wonder if the Mule have ever covered a Tull song?

Martin played a great show in Stowe last night -- his band is tight & they were really into it -- 2 gtr. bass & drums -- good blend of old stuff & new & this Real out there-good Eleanor Rigby cover -- -- Martin complements well w/the other guitarist -- his voice (the other guitarist's) sounds a little too Ian-like for me (ie is he going for an Ian-type vocal sound, is that his real singing voice, etc etc), but overall an excellent show & thank you Martin

He was in Indy last week , really wanted to go but had to work that evening.
I like his vocalist a lot. I do agree he can sound or sing in the style of Ian at times, but I do enjoy what he brings to the table.

Glad you got to see a great show. Martin is one of my fav's.
Did they play Love Story? I know he has kinda been rearranging some of the Tull stuff which has been pretty cool. Love Story he has spun around to a more mellower version. I wish he would have kept it more to the original take.....its a kicker!!
I dig the Eleanor Rigby version ;

Leslie West does an interesting take on ER.

Grin They did do Love Story! It was a real good set of a mixture of Tull stuff & cuts from their 2015 CD Behind The Steel -- Minstrels...Gallery, & other lesser known Tull music --
hear ya on the singer, he's a real good musician -- am certain he doesn't try to cop Ian's vocal sound -- should've bought their CD, the tunes from it were nice -- Martin still rocks Cool
