Martha and the Muffins ?

Anyone a fan of the Canadian band Martha and the Muffins?
A roommate of mine from long ago turned me on to them, he had their 1st couple of albums.
A sort of new wave/easy listening, pop-ish punk band.
I had largely forgotten them but their name came up in a movie I watched on Netflix called ' Who the F**K is Arthur Fogel '
And if you haven't seen that movie/documentary, it is an alright one.
Arthur Fogel is the CEO of the Global Touring division of Live Nation Entertainment and the Chairman of its Global Music group.
I know, we all dislike Live Nation, but this guy is pretty interesting. He came up through the ranks, was a drummer in a band, managed night clubs, bands - then became a promoter, took on Bill Graham, on and on.
Edit: anyhow I promptly got on Amazon and ordered 2 CD's - Far Away in Time and Trance & Dance

Man did I ever just get a laugh. Rank them as a band that I never expected to read about on this site.
When I read Martha and the Muffins, I had to do a double take and even then I though someone named Martha must have made some muffins.
Thanks for the flashback.
Arthur is definitely quite a character too. Great in business and loves music.

Once that little ditty gets into your brain, hard to get rid of it.

The only thing that helps me pass the time away is knowing I'll be back at Echo Beach someday. 😛
Stephane and I get a laugh because with Canadian Content laws on the radio here, we heard that as much as Freebird.

"What song is it you wanna hear?"
ECHO BEACH!
"play it pretty for Canada"
