listening to EAP on vinyl

wow. I can only imagine being a fan at the time of this release and listening to it for the first time.
i can image the thrill of the first album post LAFE, only for Duane to pass away. how bittersweet. what beautiful songs. what sorrow.
the album brings a new level of perfection and greatness. 4 sides. each as its own act.
listening on vinyl put new meaning for me. especially with bowie's death yesterday. on the album, Mountain Jam ends on side 4. the last words spoken on the album are, " ... I'm Duane Allman. Thank you."
it makes me want to cry now. i can only image what it would have been like for fans during that time.on disc, little martha is last. which is a great closing statement. but now that it like the set closer with a mountain jam reprise as an encore.
Thank you Duane Allman.

OHyeah it's awesome. I learned how to jam by playing along to the vinyl(many years after its release), tuned up juust a little bit to the album.

Bought EAP in Feb. 1972 when it was released. I still have it. Probably the most influential album in my life. Used to play it every night and couldn't believe how incredible it was. Blue Sky, Mtn. Jam, Little Martha - IT DOES NOT GET BETTER THEN THAT!
